Frequently Asked Questions

Should I apply although I am not ready to make a payment?

We strongly advise that you do not apply until you are ready to pay for your reservation.  Applying and not making the payment (as per the invoice we email you) can prolong the reservation process. Applying will not place you on a reservation list.

How do I receive mail and packages?

Your mail and packages can be picked up at the reception / help desk in the main lobby. The building address will be indicated on the confirmation email. You are permitted to have mail and packages sent BEFORE your move-in date but only AFTER your reservation has been confirmed.

When is room cleaning service done?

Once weekly on Tuesdays

Are towels provided?

yes, we do provide towels

What is the $50 Electricity cap

If the electricity usage runs beyond the $50 ‘cap’ you will be charged the amount over $50. For example, if the electric usage is $60 for the month, you will be responsible to pay $10. To avoid unnecessary charges, it’s a good idea to turn off all appliances when you’re not home.

Are the rooms private?

Yes. it’s just having your own apartment. We do not place you with roommates.

What’s the difference between a deluxe and standard room

The standard rooms are on the upper floors of the hotel, and have a kitchen sink but no TV. The deluxe rooms are more like hotel styled rooms with a flat screen TV, but no kitchen sink.

When will my reservation be confirmed once I submit my application?

Within 24 hours of your application being submitted, if we have availability we will email you an invoice for payment.  If we do not have availability, we will contact you to discuss other options.  Do not submit an application until you know for sure that you want to reserve a place and pay for your reservation. Your reservation will be confirmed once your payment is made.

 

What is the Central Park West guest policy?

Guests are permitted to stay for free for 1 night. Afterwards, a daily rate will apply.

Are bedding and linens provided?

Yes. Professionally cleaned linens, blankets and pillows are provided at no extra cost. You can bring your own you if you wish

 

Is there a laundry facility in the building?

No. There is a professional laundry pick up service available.

Is the residence a hotel?

The building has converted it’s upper floors of the hotel to extended stay student and intern accommodations. All occupants share the hotels amenities.

Is there a kitchen?

No. The room comes equipped with hotplates for cooking, a refrigerator and a microwave. Utensils, silverware, pots/pans, dishes, glasses. are not included. There is no common area kitchen in the building.

Are sheets, towels, pillows, and blankets included?

Yes

What’s included in rent?

Nicely furnished apartments with full modern kitchens and baths. All have hardwood floors, microwaves, heat, air conditioning and hot water are included in the price. Depending on availability, kitchens or kitchenettes in the room. Wi-Fi and weekly room cleaning are also available.

Can I visit the residence before applying?

Yes!  Click here to schedule an in-person visit.. Your friends/family are also welcome to schedule a visit on your behalf. Please take note of the room # that you prefer to reserve.  Virtual tours are not currently available at this residence.

How do I schedule a tour?

To schedule a tour, first identify the location(s) you are interested in. Each location webpage has an “apply now” button where you can choose to schedule a tour. You do not have to complete an application to schedule a tour.

Can I have packages sent to the residence before I move in?

Yes!  Feel free to send packages to the location that you are scheduled to move into. The mailing address will be sent to you in the confirmation email.

Is room cleaning service available?

FREE weekly room cleaning service is included.

How is the neighborhood?

Welcome to the Upper West Side of Manhattan!  The building is conveniently located on West 94th Street, (between West End Ave and Riverside Drive).  All types of food markets, cafes, 99 cent stores, movie theaters and everything else is within walking distance. The nearest Subway (1-2-3 train) is 3 blocks away on 103rd Street. You can learn more about the neighborhood HERE. Can I move in or move out mid month?

You can move in on any day of the month. You will only be charged for the number of days of the month that you stay for. Example: move in date May 20th = You will be billed only from May 20th- 31st. If you move out on July 10th, you will be billed for only 10 days in July. More information about billing can be found here
